The Lionhead is quite a new breed that is in development. It is recognized only since 2010 by the ARBA. Few colors are currently recognized yet. But with time and patience, more and more colors will come to be recognized.
His body should be short, compact and plump.
The head has to be round with widely spaced eyes and a full nose.
His ears should be short (no more than 3 1 / 2 inches long), straight and rounded.
Weight in adults should be between 3 1 / 2 and 3 3 / 4 pounds.
The mane should be woolly, dense and wavy. In adults, the top and sides, near the ears must be at least 2 inches in a complete circle around the head, extending to the rear V-neck.
The wool should be of sufficient density to make the mane an attribute that dominates all others. It may be falling like a fringe on top of the head and around the ears or form a cap across the forehead.
The coat should be of soft fur and good density. Ideally the saddle, flanks and rump are free of wool.

His ears should be thick, fairly short, well taken on the head in balance with the body and not more than 3 1 / 2 " long.
Weight in adults should not exceed 4.5 pounds (2.04 Kg).
